Ben is a proud Hamiltonian and calls Ward 14 (Westcliffe) home, along with his wife and son (who is very excited to be starting Kindergarten this Fall!).

He has spent over 10 years working in environmental science and public safety leadership roles at Conservation Authorities across Ontario. While his core duties relate to keeping our watersheds safe from flooding, he has developed a passion for science communication and education. This passion has led him to take on increasing education and outreach duties to promote science education and water safety.

His lifelong love of education is due in large part to his Mother and Grandmother who both spent their careers as teachers and instilled a love of learning in him. In his free time, he loves exploring all that this great city has to offer - from the neighbourhoods, parks, waterfront and trails.
